Description
Considering the necessity of integrating the constitutive equations of material in the elastic-plastic finite element incremental analysis, an exact formula for the integration of the constitutive equations for the kinematic hardening is presented in this paper. For the isotropic hardening or mixed hardening, the integration is still an exact solution for the case of radial loading, while for the case of non-radial loading, it is an approximate solution with reasonable accuracy. The computational results show that the procedure improves, in the accuracy and the efficiency, the subincrementation scheme which has been adopted widely in numerical integration. (orig./RF)
