Method of strontium nitrate purification of barium impurities
Description
The new method for strontium nitrate purification of barium impurity is suggested. It comprises precipitation of barium containing sediment at increased temperature and separation of the latter from the strontium nitrate solution. The difference of the new technology from the previously known lays in the fact that for the purpose of increasing the degree of strontium nitrate purification and possibility of strontium nitrate purification with any barium impurity content the precipitation is performed in two stages: at the first stage by Z-10% nitric acid and separation of barium containing sediment and at the second stage by introduction into the solution of 4-6 massxparts of calcium nitrate for 100 massxparts of the solution with its subsequent evaporation not less than for one tenth of the initial volume and separation of the barium-containing sediment. Barium impurity precipitation at the first stage is performed at 70-80 deg C
