Computer aided engineering analysis of power plant control systems
Description
The use of dynamic simulation of power plant systems with EPRI's Modular Modeling System (MMS) and its benefits for predicting system performance during plant transients are described. The MMS has been developed by EPRI's Nuclear Power Division on program RP 1163-1 and by its Coal Combustion System Division on program RP 1184-2. A computer model of a generic PWR Balance-of-Plant was developed using MMS. Plant behavior under selected transients and assumed operating procedures were hypothesized and evaluated with the model
