Determination of dysprosium in ytterbium oxide using crystallophosphors luminescence
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Odessa. Fiziko-Khimicheskij Inst.
Description
A crystallophosphor Ybsub(0.5)Gdsub(0.5)OF, activated with Dy3+ ions, has been synthesized. It has been shown that an intensive dysprosium luminescence (lambda=576 nm) in this crystallophosphor is observed due to ultraviolet excitation. A luminescence method is suggested of determining dysprosium in ytterbium oxide using the crystallophosphor. The limit of detection for dysprosium is between 1x10-5 and 3x10-6%
