AAEC processes silicon for electrical industry

Description
The Australian Atomic Energy Commission has begun a program to commercially produce a material called neutron transmutation doped silicon (NTD silicon), which has important applications in the electrical and electronics industries. The NTD silicon is produced by irradiating large single crystals of pure silicon in the AAEC's nuclear reactor HIFAR
