Description

The ability of large volume scintillation counters based on white-spirit ((CH2)n) to select charged current (C.C.) νe,νe interactions with 12C while observing a neutrino burst from a stellar collapse in the Galaxy is discussed. If there exist neutrino flavour oscillations νμ(τ)<->νe, then the number of the C.C. interactions will increase, especially if neutrino oscillation parameters lie in the range of the neutron star matter oscillation effect. Scintillation counters have very good sensitivity to detect these oscillations. ((orig.))
