The radii of 27 southern galactic Cepheids

  • 1. South African Astronomical Observatory, Observatory, Cape (South Africa)

Description

Photometric and radial velocity data for 27 Cepheids with P>9 d are analysed and the results combined with those for 21 shorter-period stars observed in an identical manner. We examine the data for evidence of binary companions and proceed to determine the radii of these stars and a period-radius relation for Cepheids. (author)
