Research of α energy spectrum smoothing and the method of appraising smooth goodness

Description
This paper smooth a experimented α energy spectrum by the means of average and polynomial method, and illustrate the aim and significance of data smoothness of α energy spectrum. According to the fitted energy spectrum, we find a simply and useful method of appraising smooth goodness with smoothing spline in the curve fitting tool of MATLAB7.0. A visual, precise and convenient way of selecting optimal smooth windows and times is found through the analyzing the effect of smooth window and times to α energy spectrum. The problem that how to use a optimal smooth windows and times during smoothing energy spectrum is apparently solved, and also raise the precision and accuracy of analysis of the energy spectrum.
