A potential quark model with a cloud
Description
We incorporate into a non-relativistic scheme for baryon structure some of the non-perturbative aspects of QCD, through a pseudoscalar field mediating the quark-quark interaction in the surface. Using standard few-body techniques we are able to eliminate the center-of-mass spurious motion from our wavefunctions. We proceed to calculate some static observables for the nucleon and isobar, with the main objective of elucidating the possible D-state admixture of those baryons and the axial vector coupling constant.
