Collective rotations and Skyrme forces
Description
The rotational moment of inertia of 20Ne was calculated in the cranked Hartree-Fock formalism using various parametrizations of an extended version of the Skyrme force. It is found that the moment of inertia is strongly sensitive to the p-state part of the interaction, to the spin-orbit force and to the saturation density. Even with a density-dependent p-state interaction no parameter set could be found that gives good results for both the gs and rotational properties of 20Ne and for nuclear matter. (Auth.)
