Synthesis and physical properties of group Me3Sb5O12 antimonites (Me = In, Sc, La, Pr, Tb, Yb)
Description
Hydrothermal crystallization in the systems of Sb2O3-Me2O3-R-H2O (Me=In, Sc, Y, La, Pr, Tb, Yb; R=KF, CsF, KHF2) has been studied. The conditions for the formation reactions of monocrystalline Me3Sb5O12 antimonites (Me=In, Sc, La, Pr, Tb, Yb) have been analyzed. Antimonites of group 3 elements are characterized by reversible crystal-phase transformations. Some of them are shown to gave valuable optical, ferroelectric, pyroelectric and electroacoustic properties
