Monte Carlo simulation of the dose distribution around the 125I model 6711 seed as function of radius of the silver cylinder using the Penelope code

Description
The Monte Carlo method is applied to find the dose rates distribution in tissue around 125 I seeds model 6711 as a function of the silver cylinder radius, Rsc (0.017, 0.021, 0.025, 0.029 and 0.033) cm are used as radius values. It is found here that the dose rate at any point within the tissue decreases as Rsc increases. The relative difference of dose rate that produced by the standard Rsc seed, is less than 5%, for seeds with Rsc between 0.017 and 0.033 cm. (author)
