Irradiation-induced grain boundary chromium microchemistry in high alloy ferritic steels

Description

Radiation-induced chromium (Cr) segregation behaviour at grain boundaries in high Cr ferritic/martensitic steels is summarized. The materials involved in this study fall into two groups: radiation-induced Cr depletion in F82H, E911, 13Cr2MoVNbB, 13Cr2Mo + TiO2 steels and in Fe-5Cr, Fe-13Cr, Fe-13Cr-1Ti model alloys; and radiation-induced Cr enrichment in Fe-10Cr-xMn-3Al, HT-9, 12CrMoVNb, HCM12A and T91 steels and in Fe-13Cr and Fe-13Cr-1Si model alloys. The mechanism of radiation-induced Cr depletion/enrichment is discussed
