CT diagnosis of aortic aneurysm

CT findings and utility were studied using 33 cases of aortic aneurysm and 20 of dissecting aortic aneurysm. In aortic aneurysm, CT readily pointed out localized aortic dilatations, thrombi and marginal calcifications of the aortic wall. Dissecting aortic aneurysm was visualized as a relatively continued aortic dilatation, and CT demonstrated intimal flap and displacement of intimal calcification into the lumen, which were definite findings.
