A lanthanum calcium borate probably isostructural with burbankite

Description
La3Ca3[BO3]5 is hexagonal with the lattice constants α = 10.519 A, c = 6.411 A and Z = 2. The space group is P63mc, Panti62c or P63/mmc. The compound probably is isostructural with burbankite, A3B3[CO3]5 with A = (Na, Ca) B = (Ca, Sr, Ba, RE). La3Ca3[BO3]5 melts incongruently at 11350C (decomposition into La[BO3] and La2Ca3[BO3]4). La3Ca3[BO3]5 ist hexagonal mit den Gitterkonstanten α = 10,519 A, c = 6,411 A und Z = 2. Die Raumgruppe ist P63mc, Panti62c oder P63/mmc. Die Verbindung ist vermutlich isotyp mit Burbankit, A3B3[CO3]5 mit A = (Na, Ca) und B = (Ca, Sr, Ba, SE). La3Ca3[BO3]5 zeigt inkongruentes Schmelzen bei 11350C (Zerfall in La[BO3] und La2Ca3[BO3]4).
