Description
A measurement of the gravitational force on antiprotons is suggested. The antiprotons, captured in a Penning trap at very low temperature, are released inside a vertical tube about 1 meter long. The arrival time distribution of the antiprotons at the top and the bottom of the tube depends on the gravitational force. An analysis of this distribution allows an evaluation of g. The several perturbing effects are considered and the feasibility of such an experiment is discussed. 8 refs
