Experimental investigation of beam self-oscillations in linear accelerator section with a backward wave

Description

The experimental investigation of beam self-oscillations has been carried put by means of the proton linear accelerator with a backward wave. The relation connecting the conditions of the self-oscillation initiation with accelerator parameters has been obtained. This simplified mathematical expression has been well consistent with experimental data and can be used for evaluating of values of critical beam currents
