Hadroproduction of psi and UPSILON

Description
We show that inclusive psi hadroproduction cross sections and xsub(F)-distributions are quantitatively consistent with calculations based on the lowest-order q anti q → c anti c and gg → c anti c QCD subprocesses using a duality ansatz. Data in the πN, KN, NN and anti NN channels are considered. They provide determinations of the gluon distributions within the nucleon, the pion, and the kaon at the psi mass scale. Available NN → UPSILON X data at y = O are consistent with the same model, using fluon distributions appropriate to the UPSILON mass: predictions of xsub(F)-distributions are made. (orig.)
