Description

Large sodium valve technology in the United States from the late 1950s to the present is described. Brief mention is made of early valve experience in facilities such as SRE, Hallam, SCTI, LCTL, and FERMI. Emphasis is placed on recent valve development work performed in support of the LMFBR and related test facilities. This work includes valve designs for the FFTF, SPTF, and valve development for possible use in the CRBR, Demonstration Plant and subsequent LMFBR facilities. (U.S.)
