A comparison of the consequences of the design basis accident of the Greek Research Reactor with those of a serious realistic accident

Description

An analysis of the radiological consequences of the design basis and the coolant flow blockage accidents of the Greek Research Reactor is presented. The results indicate that the consequences of the coolant flow blockage accident are practically trivial being 1-2 orders of magnitude lower than the corresponding consequences of the design basis accident.
