CICC design with stability margin and a new version of the conductor design for the HT-7U tokamak
Description
Cable-in-conduit-conductors (CICC) are used for the toroidal and poloidal field magnets of the HT-7U tokamak. Stability is one of the most important criteria for large-scale superconducting magnet designs. Optimum ratio of copper to superconductor is the key to ensure the magnet stability and the reach the maximum current density. According to the stability margin principle, a design of CICC with stability margin is given. A new conductor version for the design of toroidal and poloidal field magnets of the HT-7U tokamak is presented
