Dissociative recombination and excitation of H+2, HD+, and D+2 with electrons for various vibrational states

Description

The dissociative recombination and excitation of H+2, HD+, and D+2 with electrons are investigated by using the multichannel quantum defect theory newly extended to include the dissociative states. The cross sections of those processes are systematically compiled for various initial vibrational states of molecular ions. The electronic state distribution in the product of the dissociative recombination is also discussed. We show the importance of the interaction among the vibrational states and dissociative states of various energies
