Methanization: situation and analysis of controversies. Situation on the 20 December 2021

Description

Eight questions related to methanization which correspond to eight controversies, have been asked to, examined and discussed by a group of experts, and this document proposes a synthesis of arguments and counter-arguments, outlines oppositions, and identifies points of vigilance for each question. These questions concern the net assessment of greenhouse gas emissions with or without methanization, impacts of methanization on the agronomic properties of soils, the global energy assessment of a farm, the global assessment of accidentology (including problems related to contaminants), air and water pollution, farmer revenues, methane production and usage competition for agricultural soils, and the public funding of the PPE (energy planning)
