Description

The Third United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea will influence nuclear law in the following fields: construction and operation of offshore nuclear power plants, dumping of radioactive wastes in the sea, navigation of nuclear ships and maritime transport of radioactive materials. Nuclear law experts should take advantage of the situation of the present conference which may enable them the influence discussions as well as the outcome of the Conference in these fields by their expertise and knowledge. Abstract (French)

La troisieme Conference des Nations Unies sur le Droit de la Mer aura une influence sensible sur le droit nucleaire dans les domaines suivants: construction et exploitation des centrales nucleaires sur iles artificielles, evacuation en mer des dechets radioactifs, navigation des navires nucleaires et transport maritime des matieres nucleaires. Les experts en droit nucleaire devraient mettre a profit la situation actuelle de la conference dans le but d'influencer, grace a leur competence et experience dans ces domaines, les discussions et les resultats a atteindre
