Description
Thirty-one patients with focal bowel lesions - 17 benign, 13 malignant, and 1 patient with a carcinoma and tuberculosis - detected either by barium study, US, or CT were subjected to imaging by all the three investigative modalities in order to compare the diagnostic efficacy of these techniques. The image morphology of the lesions was analysed. Sensitivity for detection of the lesion by barium study, US and CT was found to be 100%, 78.4% and 100% respectively.
