Absorption of gravitational waves by nearly Newtonian systems
Description
The formula is determined giving the energy absorbed per unit time by a nearly Newtonian system whose dimensions are small compared with the wavelength of an incident plane gravitational wave. The variation of angular momentum is also indicated. In order to determine them, the nonlinear nature of the Einstein equations must be taken into account. (author)
