The electromagnetic form factors of the proton and quantum chromodynamics

Description
A two-parameter expression suggested from perturbation theory calculations in quantum chromodynamics is proposed as a candidate to fit the high momentum transfer dependence of the Dirac form factor of the proton. The quality of the fit thus obtained is remarkably good. (Auth.)
