A convenient synthesis of [carbonyl-14C]-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde

A two-step synthesis of the title compound from [cyano-14C]-copper(I) cyanide is described. The method is extensible to the preparation of carbonyl-labelled 3,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde. (author)
