Structure and properties of two-phase stainless steel after high temperature mechanical machining
- 1. Leningradskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
The planned experiment method has been used to study the combined effect of the parameters of high-temperature mechanical treatment - H.T.M.T. (rolling temperature, deformation fractionation, time period between the termination of rolling and the onset of quenching) on the structure and mechanical properties of austenite-ferrite steels. Consideration is given to the effect of a 400-degree aging after various regimes of H.T.M.T. and conventional thermal treatment (C.T.T.). The process has been optimized to enhance the yield point with the result being about 2 times higher than that after C.T.T
