Regularities of nonelastic metal deformation under cyclic loading in air and liquid media

Description
Investigated are the regularities of nonelastic deformation of armco iron and 45 and 1Kh12N2BMF steels under fatigue in air medium, as well as in inactive, surface-active and neutral corrosive-active media. It is shown, that depending on a structure state within the range of stress amplitudes corresponding to a multycycle fatigue (5x104-107 cycles), the metals have the nonelastic deformation levels, which considerably differ one from another. The nonelastic deformation levels, determining metal durability, can be changed to a various degree by the media interacting with the material surface
