Radiotherapy of cancer metastases to the cervical lymph nodes in patients with primary tumors of unknown localization

Description

Technique for radiotherapy of patients with cancer metastases to the cervical lymph nodes from primary tumors of unknown localization is described. None of patients administered palliatiative treatment survived longer than 2 years. After radical source 6 (15 %) patients survived 2 and more years. Radical course of radiotherapy helps control the metastases in 15 % of cases. The primary tumor was detected in none of the cases in periods from 4 to 46 months after radiotherapy
