Description
TPE-1RM15 is a moderate scale Reversed Field Pinch (RFP) Experiment constructed at ETL, as a successor of TPE-1R (M). It was designed to achieve plasma currents up to 250 KA which was almost the same current density as TPE-1R (M) (500Acm/sup -2/). Major and minor radii of the vacuum vessel are 0.7m and 0.15m, respectively. The intensive efforts were taken to reduce the error fields in the plasma region, arising from various kinds of currents in the machine. The control of plasma equilibrium is made by the vertical fields (DC and Control). The overall description of machine design, construction and operational performance is presented
