Processor based bulk uranium-ore analyser

  • 1. Department of Atomic Energy, Hyderabad (India). Atomic Minerals Div.

Description

A processor based Bulk Uranium-Ore Analyser system (BUOA) was designed, developed, fabricated and installed to determine the grade of the run of uranium mine ore brought in dumpers of 25 ton capacity. The in-built software evaluates the grade of the run of uranium mine ore brought to the surface and provides an audio-visual indication to delineate the ore grade for dumping of the ore at the appropriate stacks. Hard copy of the results is also provided at the end of session. Ore grading system after initialized, does not require manual intervention. This paper describes the design aspects and the operation details of the BUOA system. (author). 1 ref., 2 figs
