Numerical simulation of diffusion of a strong disturbance of a weakly ionized plasma in a magnetic field

Description

The technique of numerical solution of the problem on diffusion of intense disturbance of a weakly ionized plasma is proposed. Concentration and potential profiles are obtained. Qualitative and quantitative calculations have been compared with analytical formulas. It has been shown that a combination of profiles, corresponding to ambipolar diffusion and shorting vortex currents is plasma, describes well the process of diffusion of nonlinear disturbance of finite dimensions
