Correlation functions of cumulative baryons in pA and π+A interactions at 3 GeV/c initial momentum

Description
Pairing correlation functions of cumulative baryons have been measured in pA and π+A interactions at initial momentum of 3 GeV/c on C, Ti, and Pb nuclei. Dependences of the correlation functions on the initial energy and different kinematical variables are analyzed. The measurements are compared with the data obtained at a similar setup at 7.5 GeV/c initial momentum. The totality of the data concerning the correlation functions are consistent with the idea that cumulative particles are produced as a result of successive interactions of the incident particle with separate centers along its way inside the nucleus
