Radioimmunoassay of bombesin amount in patients with lung cancer

Description
Blood plasma bombesin amount during surgical treatment and radiotherapy was studied radio immunologically in 54 patients with lung cancer and in 20 patients with nonspecific inflammatory lung diseases. It has been established for the first time that the criterion of the efficacy of radiotherapy immediate results is significant reduction of bombesin level after radiotherapy when tumor regression is more than 50% of its volume
