X-ray diffraction study of KTaOGeO4(1) and RbSbOGeO4(2) was conducted Rhombic lattice parameters are: a = 13.386(3), b 6.658 (2), c = 10.997 (2) A, ρcltd=5.028 g/cm3 for 1 and a=13.382(3), b=6.708(2), c=10.746(2)A, ρcltd=4.937 g/cm3 - for 2, Z=8, sh.gr.Pna21-for 2. More pronounced distortion of TaO6 octahedrous, as compared to SbO6, correlates with elevated nonlinear-optical activity of 1
