Influence of high temperature radiation-heat treatment by accelerated electron beam on strength of metal-oxide catalytic systems

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

Mechanical strength of granules of coked industrial catalysts of Klaus process of the steel type CSR-2 (the major mass - aluminium gamma-oxide) was investigated after regeneration, using radiation-heat treatment in 2 MeV accelerated electron beam. Influence of gaseous and liquid compounds, capable to decrease material strength by 25-35 % at intensive radiolysis in pores (or during evaporation from pores), was noted. The range of regeneration doses and temperatures, at which mechanical strength of contacts was preserved completely, was determined
