The alienation of emissions trading
Description
European emissions trading is being discredited by various parties in Germany. While environmental associations denounce the low CO price in the past, industries that are not yet subject to emissions trading are painting horrendous prices on the wall in the future. Recent reforms have led to a sharp price increase in emissions trading. In order to understand this, the following analysis explains the actual function of the CO price and why the proponents of sectoral and national energy policy so vehemently stress its failure. And a fact check to see what emissions trading has actually achieved in climate protection.
Abstract (German)
Additional details
