π Meson absorption by three-nucleon nuclei
- 1. Institute of Physics, Georgia (Russian Federation)
Description
The π+ + 3He → 3p and π- + 3H → 3n reactions are considered by taking into account both two- and three-nucleon pion absorption. It is shown that three-nucleon absorption and interference of two absorption mechanisms give contributions that are on the same order as the contribution from two-nucleon absorption. It is found that final-state interaction decreases the cross sections of these reactions. 13 refs., 1 fig., 1 tab
