Study of thermal decomposition products of disubstituted hafnium arsenate monohydrate

Description
Crystalline compound Hf(HAsO4)2xH2O was prepared. Its isomorphic nature similar to the analogous titanium- and zirconium compounds was determined. The thermal stability of this compound was investigated. The products of its pyrolysis contain two modifications of anhydrous hafnium arsenate Hf(HAsO4)2, two modifications of hafnium pyroarsenate HfAs2O7 and the latter pyrolysis product Hf3(AsO4)4. Roentgenographic characteristics of the identified phases were measured
