Description

Cu O films have been deposited on glass substrate using spray pyrolysis technique. The films are single phase polycrystalline. X-ray diffraction peaks corresponding to the planes (110), (022), (111) and (111) increased in intensity with increasing time of deposition. Measurements show a good improvement in the crystallinity with increasing time of deposition. The optical parameter such as refractive index (n), the thickness of the prepared thin film (t) and the absorption coefficient ∝ are calculated from transmittance and reflectance measurements between 1 and 3 Mm. The values of the direct allowed band gap depend on the time of deposition and varies between 1.93-1.7 eV. 7 figs., 2 tabs
