Cascade γ-decay of a heavy nucleus compound state: the experimental picture

Description
Peculiarities of excitation and decay (for assigned final state of excited levels of 35 nuclei from 114Cd to 200Hg in energy range, equal approximately to the neutron binding energy, were studied in experiments with the use of the method of summation of amplitudes of coinciding pulses from Ge-detectors. Main features of the process of cascade γ-decay of compound states (neutron resonances) of the most complex nuclei were revealed in the whole range of levels dictating this process
