X-ray diagnosis of interstitial nephritis in adults and children

Description
The diagnosis of bacterial interstitial nephritis is one of the most important aims of radiologists. In order to prevent renal failure the detection of early radiological symptoms is of particular value. Electronic harmonisation and magnification enables to visualise early signs of cortical and calical defects. In special cases there still exists an indication for renal angiography. (orig./MG)

Die Diagnostik der bakteriellen, interstiellen Nephritis (Pyelonephritis) ist eines der wichtigsten Anliegen des diagnostischen Radiologen. Um spaeteres Nierenversagen zu verhindern, kommt der Fruehdiagnostik entzuendlicher Nierenerkrankungen im Kindes- und Erwachsenenalter besondere Bedeutung zu. Elektronische Harmonisierung und -Vergroesserung kann bei der Aufdeckung feinster Veraenderdungen im Kelchsystem als auch im Nierenparenchym herangezogen werden. In besonderen Faellen, vor allem bei ungeklaerter Mikrohaematorie ist die Renovasographie angezeigt. (orig./MG)Additional details
