Electro-exploded current opening switch powered from magneto-cumulative generator
- 1. Russian Federal Nuclear Center - VNIIEF, Sarov (Russian Federation)
Description
In this paper we present experimental results on electron-exploded current opening switch powering from fast helical magneto-cumulative generator (MCG). Energy capacity of such MCG is about ∼1 kJ, total operating time is 25 μs, characteristic current rise time (in e-times) is ∼2.5 μs. Thin copper wires are used. Voltage pulses up to 200 kV with front ∼50 ns on resistive load of 25 Ohm, were formed at the experiments
Abstract (Russian)
Additional details
