Computer modeling of gas flow in the working medium of a chemical plasma reactor under the action of short intense electron-beam pulses
Creators
Description
The authors have conducted a computer simulation of the dynamics of forming a shock wave in a N2:O2 mixture under the action of a sufficiently short (tau ≤ 10-7 sec) intense electron beam pulse. For one-dimensional flow an approximation allowance was made for the main channels of energy dissipation of the electron beam, and boundaries were established for the variation of medium density and temperature as a function of time and the coordinate. The calculations confirm that it is possible to use an electron beam to initiate nonequilibrium chemical plasma reactions in molecular media
