Immunological half-life of porcine proinsulin C-peptide

Description
Immunological half-lifes of injected porcine C-peptide and insulin with RIA were studied and calculated as 9.8 and 8.0 minutes. Higher circulating levels of C-peptide as compared to insulin in normal young swines lead to speculation about a longer half-life of C-peptide. This hypothesis was verified in this study. Immunological half-lifes of porcine proinsulin and insulin in the pig were 20 and 6 minutes, respectively. (GSE)

Mit Hilfe von RIA werden die immunologischen Halbwertszeiten von injizierten C-Peptiden und von Insulin in Schweinen bestimmt. Sie betrugen 9,8 respektive 8,0 Min. Hoehere zirkulierende Gehalte von C-Peptiden verglichen zu Insulin lassen vermuten, dass die C-Peptide eine laengere Halbwertszeit aufweisen. Diese Hypothese konnte in vorliegender Studie verifiziert werden. Die immunologischen Halbwertszeiten von Proinsulin und Insulin in Schweinen betragen 20 bzw. 6 Min. (GSE)Additional details
