The decay of 81Rb 3/2- ground state

  • 1. Helsinki Univ. (Finland). Dept. of Physics

Description

The decay of 4.58 h 81Rb has been investigated using mass-separated sources and Ge(Li) as well as Si(Au) detectors in different singles and coincidence arrangements. An end-point energy of 1050+-30 keV is observed for a strong β+-branch and altogether 42 γ-rays are attributed to the 81Rb decay . New levels in 81Kr are established at 49, 608, 700, 919, 1238, 1338, 1678, 1744 and 2064 keV, and a level at 549 keV is confirmed in addition to the previously known excited states at 190, 457, 636, 994 and 1025 keV. Spins and parities of levels are proposed on the basis of logft values and γ-branching ratios. (author)
