Description

A containment system transient analysis code CONTRAN has been developed in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. The code has been validated against experimental data. Recently, using the code CONTRAN, a large number of analytical case studies have been carried out, to study the influence of various parameters on the pressure transients in a typical containment of Indian PHWRs, following an accident. The details of these studies and results obtained are presented and discussed in this paper. (author). 11 refs., 17 figs., 1 tab
