A Strategy for Advanced Fuel Cycle Deployment

  • 1. Toshiba Corporation, 8, Shinsugita-cho, Isogo-ku, Yokohama 235-8523 (Japan)

Description

The successive strategy for the advanced fuel cycle deployment from the near-term LWR cycle through the long-term FR cycle is proposed based on pyro-process technology. Since it takes long time to develop the technology for the future target, steady and consistent development is important based on the long-term strategy from now. The first step to be started is the development to recover MA from HLLW of PUREX and to recycle it into LWR. (authors)
